Over the weekend Orion Equipment was again an exhibitor and sponsor in the Northwest Utility Contractors Association’s (NUCA) annual Dozer Day®.
The Dozer Day® event is an annual charitable fundraising event for children which seeks to educate children of all ages about building sustainable communities, industry opportunities and public safety.
Dozer Day® teaches children about important real world situations by giving the kids a realistic and ultimate “construction experience” — putting the kids in the “driver’s seat” to allow them to interact with real heavy construction equipment, fire engines, ambulances, recycling trucks as well as engage in other fun outdoor activities, games. The event educates the community as they interact with real professionals in these industries, and kids of all ages have the opportunity to get in the cab with an experienced operator and actually run a dozer, an excavator, a dumper or a wheel loader.
Orion Equipment had its Bell B60E parked at the main entrance to the 2 day event – and as you might imagine, it attracted a lot of attention and was the center of many photo ops with the kids.
It was so popular that the local police asked to have their photos taken with and on the Bell. Orion, and all of us at Bell Trucks America, appreciate their dedication and service and Orion was more than happy to be able to oblige – big boys like big trucks too.
