BTA held it’s annual dealer meeting in Las Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel this past March 7-8, 2016. Dealers attended presentations about Bell Trucks, warranties, exciting changes coming up and awards were handed out for the top sales people and top dealers for 2015.
Attended by 40 plus dealer management and Bell management personnel, the event opened Monday night with a welcome party at Carlos and Charlies Mexican Restaurant. We realize that well fed people are better listeners, so we make sure we feed our guys right to get them ready for the next day’s meetings.
Morning Meeting Highlights
The main meeting began at 8 am on Tuesday with CEO Mitch Nevins welcoming everyone to Vegas and giving a short presentation on the relationship between Bell Factory and BTA as the USA and Mexico exclusive National Distributor. Using a round table format, lively interaction occurred between the presenters and the dealers.
Neville Paynter, President of Bell Equipment North America, also spoke to dealers about Bell Equipment factory news, and presented an in depth market share presentation both nationally and on a state by state basis. Each dealer could see how they performed for 2105 compared to the market.
Prior to a lunch break, awards were presented for the two top retail salesmen and the 5 top dealers for 2015.

Afternoon Meetings
The afternoon session started with Wayne Michels, VP and GM of Product Support, presenting an extensive lecture on Warranty, Service Training and Parts Sales. This well received presentation garnered lots of audience participation, and was perhaps the most important and useful part of the 2 day event. To us, customer and dealer support is the most important part of the business.
Robin Pett, Product Manager for Bell Equipment NA, then discussed the tier 4 final machines, including the new larger series trucks being introduced in 2016. Machines discussed were: B40E, B45E, B50E and B60E. After his presentation the dealers were excited to see the new products.
Finally, Mitch Nevins spoke about BTA’s new Social Media campaign and encouraged all the dealers to get their employees, customers and friends involved in the campaign with us. This is called Employee Advocacy and is one of the newest and best ways to harness the power of social media for niche companies like BTA. We ended the meeting with a quick Conexpo update and our plan for our exhibit and a party for dealers and customers.
Nothing but great comments resulted from the event and from information supplied to our dealers. Feedback emphasized the importance and usefulness of these types of events, allowing dealers to connect with our top management and network with each other.
