With the price point of the B50E, based on the niche and the size, you are getting more production and value for your dollar.
Bell B50E Features
The B50E articulated dump truck was developed to replace the B50D, and in terms of capacity and cost, it adds about 4.5 to 5 yds more per load than the B45E. Other changes from the D Series are the removal of the transmission retarder to make space for the incline 6 engine, and the transmission changed from six speeds to seven. Moving to more speeds gives better performance and an improvement in the ratio steps between gears. Another improvement is the B50E uses 875/65 R29 tires, which is a completely new tire design with a higher capacity, making the B50E the first true 50-ton truck.
